Standard & Port exists because we spent our careers on the other side of the dock — and knew growing brands deserved better than what the market was giving them.
Justin Flynn
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
I’ve spent my career inside the operations that most brands only see from the outside.
I served in the U.S. Navy from 2007 to 2011, then spent my early career in corporate finance at Schlumberger and CenterPoint Energy, where I ran treasury and hedging programs and learned to read a business through its margins.
In 2017 I moved to Amazon, where I spent five years as a Fulfillment Center Site Lead — ranked first of twenty-one in Texas and hazmat certified. I ran the inbound dock. I know what Amazon checks, what it rejects, and what it quietly charges sellers for, because I was the one enforcing it.
From there I joined Maersk as a Senior Director, where I designed, executed, and oversaw enterprise 3PL operations across roughly 1.1 million square feet for brands including Home Depot, Tesla, TJX, Ross, and Schneider Electric.
I founded Standard & Port to give growing brands that same enterprise-level execution — without the enterprise runaround. The brands I kept meeting were stuck choosing between 3PLs that were cheap and unreliable, or polished and unreachable. There was no reason a growing brand couldn’t have operational discipline and a direct line to the owner.
That’s the company we built.
Why we built this.
Every brand we talk to has absorbed the same hidden costs: violations that shouldn’t have happened, storage fees on inventory that should have been replenished, a support queue that answers in three days, and an invoice with line items nobody explained.
None of that is inevitable. It’s the result of 3PLs built around their own convenience instead of the customer’s economics.
We built Standard & Port around a simple idea: run every account the way an enterprise operation is run, staff it with people who are rewarded for keeping it that way, and share the efficiency we find with the brands who make it possible.
Our Mission
How we operate.
Take Care of Your People
Take care of our people, and they take care of everything else.
Take care of your people, and they take care of everything else — customer first. Our teammates share in the rewards of hitting benchmark performance, earn a real stake in the business, and grow alongside the brands they serve. That’s why they stay — so your products are always handled by an experienced team that knows them, not a rotating cast of temps.
Relentless Ownership
Our customers’ business is our business.
Our customers’ business is our business. Every unit received, every order shipped, every conversation — we handle it like family, because to us, they are.
Cost is King
We find the savings, then share them.
We build every solution to find efficiency — and turn that efficiency into your profitability. When we save, we share it: with the teammates who delivered it and the customers who reinvest it in growth. Everyone compounds together.
Come see the operation.
The best way to judge a 3PL is to walk the floor. We’re in Houston, and the door is open.
